Great shopping, free concerts and a wonderful nightlife make this street the place to be in downtown West Palm Beach.

Clematis Street is probably West Palm Beach’s most strolled upon street. Sitting in the heart of the downtown area, it combines historic buildings with an array of shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. Shop, dine and then party the night away in one of the clubs.

Shopping is the principle reason why many people come to Clematis Street. As you walk down the thoroughfare you will come across small boutiques, national brands and galleries. Browse for clothes, furniture, high street fashions and original works of art. Some of the buildings hail from the early 20th century and feature the year they were built on their façades.

When it's time to sit down for something to eat, you’ll discover there is no shortage of restaurants and cafés, from fast-food outlets to upscale establishments. You can also choose from a variety of international cuisines, such as Italian, French and Chinese.

At the east end of the street is a waterfront park. Relax by its fountain and on the spacious lawn. Take a stroll down one of the three public piers that jut out over the water. From the seating areas, you can enjoy fabulous views of the downtown skyline.

Once the sun has gone down, Clematis Street turns into something of a party destination with its bars and nightclubs. Let your hair down every Thursday at Clematis by Night which features a free concert at Centennial Square, food vendors and children’s activities.

For more live music, attend the family-friendly free concert series on the third Sunday of every month. Between December and April it is presented on the Palm Stage and between May and November it is hosted by the Meyer Amphitheatre.

Find Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach. Park your car in one of the many metered parking lots or garages in the vicinity and then explore the street on foot. There is also a free trolley system that runs through the downtown area.
