The overall visit was great. Food options we above average compared to other resorts we've travelled. I had read complaints about booking at the different restaurants, but we never had one issue.
The beds were nice, just needed more than 2 pillows, which we did request, and the staff brought extras.
The wifi was a bit in/out on some portions of the beach, but who wants to be on the phone while on vacation anyway.
The only improvement that I believe is out of Riu's control is the rocks in the water near the beach. It didn't give you much room to go out and swim. There was also a pile of rocks/concrete near the volleyball court, which could be very dangerous if you were running for the ball and not paying attention.
We had a wonderful time and will return in the near future to another Riu Hotel!

Wish there was more food options for the adult only. The Jerk chicken food truck, and all food trucks, were parked clear across the resort on the family side. If you didn’t make it in time to eat at the buffet, you didn’t have real food options till noon at the adult side. They only restocked our mini bar once, when we just happened to catch the staff with the cart outside our door, and asked for a restock. And even then, they restocked for one, not two. It was unfortunate to see the staff response before and after a tip. Once tipped, and not one USD, but five or up- then you will get attention. Crazy for what we pay to stay here to begin with. The pools were clean enough, but totally saw a plastic toothpick at the bottom of our pool till departure. Halls had dead and alive cockroaches. The room smelled of mold at all times. Otherwise, the beach and the location is stunning.
