"We had an issue at check in, in as much as it didn’t seem ready, black bag still in the bin, food waste still in the bin, damp towels in bathroom (unsure if used) and the bedroom not made up. We text the owner who came straight away and was mortified, they had only just returned from being away and the cleaner employed did not do as requested. I felt sorry for the owner (Debbie) and she couldn’t apologise enough and got everything ready as quickly as possible and apologised again with some...

"Lovely cosy cottage set in beautiful surroundings Steph and David are wonderful hosts , full of local knowledge , welcoming and so friendly - feel like we’ve known them forever . Their dog Tubs visited us regularly to check on us . It’s so peaceful there , waking to birdsong instead of traffic !! Would love to visit again ."

"Amazing place. Fairly small and not masses of room but the opening roof made up for it ! Games room was fab and there was wood etc for fires. Would highly reccomend. Also a little lake with a couple of kayaks which was also a lot of fun"

"Lovely little cottage ( the coach house) We had 4 lovely nights with our little dog. Very relaxing and lovely owners who were very helpful with places to visit nearby. WiFi wasn’t really accessible- however it was nice to relax without our phones and spend quality time together "

"We really enjoyed our 3 nights at The Smithy. It’s very spacious and cosy and well equipped. Good points: Cosy, spacious, warm, great internet, good kitchen, dishwasher, nice log fire, excellent pub across the road. Not so great points: Desperately needs some TLC, back door doesn’t lock so not the best security although it’s not a risk in this area, curtains are poor so we were awake quite early, kitchen utensils need upgrading. On the whole we would recommend but it could be so much better...
