The place has so much character, but has all the modern amenities you’d want. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff were helpful, personable, and professional. The food (at breakfast- all we were there for) was fabulous.

My room was wonderful, the mattress was a little too hard for me which has me tossing and turning a lot. Housekeeping was stellar. The person who brought coffee to my room on day 2 was soooo rude. She might want to look into finding another job if this one is so miserable. I was not a big fan of the food. Otherwise an excellent stay and experience!

The hotel was lovely. Communication about the hotel was poor, and the staff member who checked us in seemed annoyed and did not share pertinent information. The air circulation system was very loud in the room we stayed in, so much so, that it was a disruption to our sleep. I would stay here again, now that I’m more informed, just not in the same suite.

Dinner could have been better (alfredo needed more flavor, shrimp was overcooked), but aside from this, I had a 5-star visit. For being 150 years old, this was a great hotel with modern amenities. Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was excellent. We had a large room with gas fireplace which my wife loved due to cold weather. The valet parking was very reasonable and quick and given the limited metered street parking it was a nice option. We ate in the grill and enjoyed our meals. I got to try a Yak burger too. We loved the historic nature of the hotel and would stay again.
