"Lovely 400 year old building, quirky but lots of stairs. Used this hotel for convenience not for sightseeing or a holiday. Read the good reviews and reasonable price. The bed was not comfortable Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice. Staff exceptional, very friendly and helpful."

"Thames Head is a characterful and welcoming place to stay. Our room was warm, clean, peaceful and comfortable. The food is unpretentious, but well-cooked very generously portioned. The pub is close to Kemble station, and it is only 10 mins drive from the splendid town of Cirencester. The shower-in-the-bath might be a bit tricky for the elderly or less agile, but it is very clean. An extra socket or two for phone-re-charging might be a good idea, but overall it’s a good choice for a stay."

"We had an amazing stay at The Wellington. The staff were so friendly, we ate both dinner and breakfast at the pub and the food was out of this world good!! Perfect stay, couldn't recommend more!"

"Ok, first up: The Dark Horse is a (quirky, friendly, lively) pub on a main road, so if you’re looking for a tranquil escape this ain’t it. But that, and the location (15 mins to the city centre on the bus, which comes about every five minutes) made it ideal for my overnight stay - and the lovely lady who showed me to my room even offered earplugs (I always travel with my own, so no need, and I slept like a baby even though it was Friday night and the bar was open til 2am). "From the moment we entered Friendliness was the Name of the Game! Tasha showed us to our room and told us everything we needed to know. The room was nice, large, well renovated, bed was very comfortable. We went to eat in the dining room for our evening meal which was delicious. " We stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights and would definitely recommend it as a first option for anyone visiting Corsham and the surrounding area. Room 7 was outstanding and full of character and the place is so clean and very well decorated. "I only had a quick visit to Berwick Lodge, late arrival and early departure , but it was a very comfortable stay with a lovely breakfast in the morning. A little pricey compared to others but still nice regardless. Will happily return "

"Nice and cosy, noisy as beside a busy road. The cottage shakes when large vehicles pass. Not double glazed windows. Clean and tidy."

"We had a fantastic time here, albeit a short stay. There was bread and milk in each of the 3 accomodations, which was a lovely suprise. When we had a problem with the electrics (following a storm) we were helped promptly. And the little additions like complimentary slippers and pool towels were lovely. Good selection of equipment and crockery in the kitchen. We’d love to come and stay again."
