Of course, it might be hard to get the motivation to go out when you can simply stay in and marvel at the water views. The large deck provides a breathtaking vantage point for admiring the nearby rocky beach and crashing waves of the cove.

Baby shell beach

Really good beach for the kids. They loved finding crabs and so many baby shells. Even saw a sea otter. Only bad thing was the smoke alarm went off just turnkng the stove on so i didnt cook

Gorgeous getaway

Very cute modular home right at the waterside of Penn Cove. We could have spent our whole trip sitting on the porch watching the herons and looking at the view. Beds are comfy, kitchen is well-stocked. The water in the shower could be a bit hotter for those chilly days. Overall, this is an amazing find. If we find ourselves in this part of the country again, we will definitely book again.

Gorgeous view of Penn Cove! The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils. Private beach access for walks. The living room and bedroom both look out over the water. Absolutely stunning! 10/10 would stay here again.

Only problems i had it showed barbecue and outside chairs. When i contacted property manager they told me those were seasonal. There was nothing in description about that.

Good location and beautiful view but…

If all you want to do is sleep and stare at the view then this is a great spot. We were in town to attend the Coupeville activities for Halloween, so it was close enough to get there quickly. However, if small details like fluffy towels, patio furniture, good wifi, and coziness are important to you then maybe look elsewhere. If you are planning on cooking then you will be happy with the kitchen, well stocked. Overall a pretty good spot but a few extras like shampoo/conditioner/body wash more substantial then the tiny ones provided, better towels, a dvd/blu ray player (we wanted to watch Practical Magic but couldn’t and we couldn’t stream it because of the wifi.

The house and its location are great. Cleanliness was good. But comments about poor maintenance are accurate. In particular, the sink was backed up. We tried repeatedly to work with Guest Service. They told us repeatedly that it would be addressed. It never was.

Wonderful relaxing time.

We spent 3 days just relaxing, reading, playing games, touring the island, just getting away from the routines of home. This cabin is in a beautiful setting and has all the kitchen equipment you will ever need - and then some more. Would have liked one cupboard just to put our "stuff". An added plus was the one day a storm blew in with waves and high tide. Thanks for making this place available.

Great location, great view, but beware of power outages!

The house is exactly as listed, and the view is amazing, it just needs some updating here and there (linens, dishes, etc.) It was clean, but some things could have used a little extra attention (remote had some “gunk” on it and the disposal had an odor, even though they say to not use it.) Wi-Fi is spotty, but that could be attributed to the location. Unfortunately a wind storm happened while we were there and we lost power after the first night. With no heat, no hot water, and no way to cook, we contacted the property mgr. to see if we could get even a small refund, which they promptly denied. We realize a wind storm isn’t anyone’s “fault” (including ours), but we didn’t use the showers and barely used the kitchen, and they wouldn’t even waive the cleaning fee. Something to keep in mind if you’re planning a fall/winter trip to the island.

Beautiful views, central location.

This property was good, although we had some difficulty with little things. One of the showers had such little water pressure that it would have been better taking a shower in the rain. The heaters were difficult to turn on/off as they kept cutting out. However, it’s on a great property and overall a great experience.

Vacasa was bothersome!

Vacasa sent annoying texts throughout our stay even when we replied "STOP". In particular, we were woken up early with a Vacasa text reminding us to check out at 10am. This "wake up call" essentially ruined our reason to go away, to catch up on much needed rest. Never again Vacasa!

Beautiful house, poor WiFi and a bit of road noise

The house is very well designed and beautifully done. Loved being right on the water - is on the inlet so the water is a little murky. WiFi was very weak so if you need to work from home the speed is barely adequate. Video calls kept freezing and hanging up. It’s just off the road so there is a little road noise. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider going back. Had a little trouble getting in but Vacasa service was great and helped send a new code so I could get in.

Cute beach house

I was here for three nights with my 9 year old daughter. The location was amazing! It's right on the water facing east. Mornings are foggy so you don't always get a Sunrise view, but it's still beautiful. The house had all the kitchen gadgets you would need to cook three meals a day, which we did. The listing says no W/D so we packed extra clothes, but when we got to the house it was clear that there was a functioning washer and dryer in the home. There was a load of fresh towels left in the dryer by cleaning people. It would be nice if guests were given access to this amenity. The wi-fi is non-existant here. I wasn't able to connect to it on any of my devices for the entire 3 day stay. That was pretty frustrating. This property is directly next door to a public beach so be aware that you'll have lots of people coming and going just a few feet from the back deck. We saw lots of paddle boards and kayaks on the Cove too so bring yours if you can. It's the perfect spot to launch from. Overall our stay was good. I would probably stay again but for a shorter time given the laundry situation.

Great stay BUT ..........

Very nice little house right on Penn Cove. Nice bedroom and kitchen with lots of windows all around to enjoy the beautiful views across the cove. Unfortunately there were a few issues. When we arrived after dark it was very difficult to locate the key box since no light was left on. The controls on the bedroom heater were broken, and the bathroom heater knob was missing. The dishwasher also malfunctioned It went on for hours. WiFi was spotty at best and very slow when it did work. We think that once these issues are fixed, it is a great place and would return and maybe give this 5 stars. But we did call the manager and they did send a supervisor over but unfortunately she could not fix anything and she did relate the problem to manager. We were there for 5 days.

A darling place right on the water with an amazing view! We stayed here to attend a wedding at Captain Whidbey Inn about 100 yards away so the location was perfect. A few things that weren’t so great: “Garbage disposal not for first use” Understandably, due to a sensitive septic system, they don’t want you putting food down the kitchen sink. However, a disabled disposal with a clearly marked switch that doesn’t work only adds confusion and a sink that does not drain and backs up immediately when the water runs. Maybe remove the disposal or add a sign (along with the 100 other signs/labels in the place) that makes it clear not to put food scraps down the disposal but allows renters to turn it on to clear the drain. Lots of pots and pans available but the “pantry” consists of 3 spices and no salt and pepper. If you are going to make and kind of meal, bring literally everything with you. This includes a morning cup of coffee, there is a coffee maker but no complimentary coffee as in most places we have stayed. Dishwasher does not have a utensil basket. Several light bulbs need replacing. “WiFi” is available but is intermittent, and when it is working is not string enough to update an emai inbox. Asking for a 1 hour earlier check in to get ready for the event, they responded that they could not accommodate our request to arrive “a few hours earlier”. When I responded that we would appreciate even 15 minutes earlier, no response messages until the next day.
