Beautiful, peaceful place to stay
What a wonderful location for a night away. Couldn’t recommend the Abbey any more as a place to stay, beautiful setting, large bedroom and bathroom, very peaceful and very welcoming hosts. The only shame was that the food didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience, but we would still return.

Absolutely loved our stay at Abbaye de Vauluisant. The property is gorgeous! We stayed in the cottage and it was wonderful. I wish we would have had more than one night to relax and enjoy the views. We were welcomed promptly and breakfast was great. Would love to return! Would recommend.

Amazing bohemian estate
This isn't like any hotel I've ever stayed in. It's a big estate with housing that used to belong to monks (I think). Anyway, the grounds are pristine, the small apartment was very clean and the staff who greeted us were friendly and nice.

Return visit to this splendid place!
Planned our itinerary to include 2 nite stay. Abbey is spotless, rooms superb, atmosphere stately and romantic, with spacious grounds to explore. By request,dinner available. Hosts are a treasure and most attentive but non-intrusive. Highly recommend a stay in fabulous historic place in the. Country side close to Sens.

Beautiful location in the countryside
Just a magical location particularly if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing location. Room was very stately and well presented. Meals provided were excellent but as we were on the off season not sure what restaurants were available in the near vicinity. Excellent location and highly recommended particularly if you are looking for a special location for a wedding

We stayed in 2 bedroomed cottage but to stay in main building was much more classy & luxurious but as there are only two rooms for b/b they can be difficult to book. The home cooked dinner & breakfast was great & glad of it as area very quiet & remote. We visited Troyes nearest big town on our way to Beaune & it's well worth visit..charming town. Abbeye does a lot of weddings which I'm sure are stunning due to character of house & grounds

perfect food, perfect hosts, perfect setting
We stopped here on our way up to the Champagne region, and are so happy we did! Truly one of the most tranquil overnights of our many many trips. It is partly a working farm, and has not been overly sanitized. It was just perfect. the stream and the outbuildings were fun to poke around in. The two gentlemen who run it are amazing and hit the balance between great service and maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. A pool is sorely lacking, but aside from that, and the remote location, it cannot be faulted. I also imagine that weekends are less calm with weddings taking place, as it is an ideal venue.

Disappointed with Cottage problem
We stayed in 2-bed cottage, it doesn't match the luxury of the main house, but was same price, so you pay for space. We only chose it to ensure a bed for our 4-year old, as main house rooms say '1 king size bed' & 'no extra beds/rollaways available' - we didn't need the space & had been hoping for the luxury, so that was our first disappointment. We checked-in around 7.30pm & their restaurant was full, so we asked for a plate of food in our cottage with a glass of wine & they offered dessert we didn't need. We misunderstood the offer & found out at checkout we had to pay for it all as a set menu price, which we felt was too high for a plate of food that was tasty but small, arrived only just warm (we had to set our own table & wash dishes afterwards). What the staff didn't tell us about was the ant problem in the kitchen, so we woke in the morning to find the kitchen covered with ants - sink, counters, table, floor & all over our bag of food that was for the remaining part of our holiday. Half our food had to be thrown away & we were surprised when we mentioned it at check-out that they know about the ant problem, but won't do anything as it would be unsafe to put traps or poison. I would suggest warning guests not to put food in the kitchen would solve the problem & avoid them spending their morning disposing of ants & replacing food. We complained to them directly after our stay but they didn't acknowledge our issues leaving us further disappointed. We won't go back.

Mooie chique oude Franse Suite
In een klein kasteel met een giga grote dito kamer met badkamer en zelfs een eigen relaxkamer met koffieapparaat(tje). Super gaaf al is alles gedateerd maar dat heeft juist veel charmes, Franse!! Midden in de natuur en buiten de stad.

Angenehmer ruhiger Aufenthalt.
Perfekter Ort um sich auszuruhen liegt das Etablissement doch in einem riesigen wunderschönem Park mit Jahrhunderten alten Bäumen. Wir haben vor Ort um eine Nacht verlängert. Das Frühstücks gleicht einem "Tischlein deck dich" und die Zimmer sind schön, gross und sauber. Wir werden uns diese Adresse merken
