Cozy cabin with 1 queen bedroom, 1 bathroom, loft with queen bed, and sitting area with full-size sofa sleeper, kitchen and spacious bathroom. Lake of Egypt access within a few minutes. Explore all that Southern Illinois has to offer. Nearby attractions include: LOE, wineries, hiking, SIU and much more.

The big tree (Tulip Poplar) is currently being nominated to The Illinois Big Tree Register to go on record as the largest of its kind in IL. It has a 21-foot diameter, spans 105 feet and is approximately 120-130 feet tall. It's amazing!

Check in is after 3PM. Check out is before 10AM.

Very clean except front porch/entrance. Refrigerator and bed were too small and bed was very uncomfortable and saggy. Told rental company about our complaints and nothing was talked about after our concerns. Didn’t get good rest because of the worn out mattress.

My parents live on the lake but we like to have our own space when we visit. My husband and I have rented a few different places throughout the years. Big Tree Little Cabin has been our favorite so far! The property is spacious and the big tree is amazing. The cabin is very cozy and clean. There were plenty of towels, linens, and supplies to make our stay simple. Check in and out was very straightforward and easy. Hopefully this property will be available when we plan to visit again!

This cabin is the absolute best. It is so clean and beautiful. It is well stocked and in a great location. The outdoor space is great for a fire and the kitchen is great for cooking while on your adventure. I highly recommend this place! We’ve stayed there twice now and intend to make it a yearly thing!

Our favorite weekend place
Great place, clean and “home feeling”. We love going to this cabin. We haven’t even arrived yet and my wife is asking when we’re returning. The kids enjoyed the swing and giant tree out in the back. With the addition of the benches, firepit and barbeque station, there’s more stuff to do. We had one great night for s’mores, dinner by the firepit, and campfire stories. Memories our children would remember for the rest of their lives!!! Haven’t made reservations yet but we’ll be back for sure. AGAIN. High recommended. I hate to recommend. We want the place to ourselves!!!
