It's one thing to get to visit buildings with a history, but to get to stay in one and dwell in the space is another. The staff made us feel welcome, and the company created spaces outside our room where we could relax and take in the history of the building. Parking is a struggle in the old city, but the public garage is available on the way up the hill, and an elevator takes you up to the level of the hotel. Breakfast is awesome.

Great base from which to explore old city. Set back from main drag, quiet, and excellent breakfast. The building itself is beautiful, and located next to the science museum. Good for families.

The location was the best feature - in the heart of old town, close to many turistic things. The receptionist was great, spoke 4 languages and was very helpful letting us know the streets would be closed due to the holiday events.

The hotel was very historic. The public areas kept much of their character. The room was spartan in keeping with the history of the building as an old seminary. If you are into watching TV, there isn't one in the room. The views were incredible! A beautiful place

Excellent location! Walking distance to most iconic sites in Cuenca... Public parking just next to the building with entrance 8 floors down but hotel provides accurate directions... Upon parking, the lift takes you right to one side of the Seminario building with 1 block walking using pedestrian street!

Great location in the older part of Cuenca. Easy access to castle, Cathedral, and hanging house views. A little tricky in getting there if you are driving, as there is a one lane section regulated by a signal just prior to hotel. Suggest calling first and getting guidance to parking garage below the Monastery, and taking the elevator up to the hotel.

This is a very unique property located right in the entrance of the old town. It is extremely convenient for sightseeing abd dining. The staff is very friendly and helpful One thibg unique about this property which i am not familiar with is that it does not have a TV or fridge in the room. It is not a problem for us but it is different

I was happy with the location of this hotel and the staff were super helpful, the breakfast was excellent, but in our room which was the suite the windows were a little small and on a warm day they would not stay open they kept closing by themselves. My wife wasn't happy that there was no conditioner which she was expecting. The furniture was rather old and outdated. I probably would stay there again though I wouldn't spend the extra money on The Suite

I really don't know why anyone would stay elsewhere in Cuenca if this lodging is available. While the amenities and room are simple, they are very clean with modern fixtures. The seminary is located in the heart of the old part of Cuenca that people come to see, the breakfast is wonderful (it does cost extra), and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is not 24-hour service at the front desk, although there is a phone number to call if it isn't staffed. If you must have a television in your room I guess perhaps it isn't the right place for you, but really there is all of beautiful Cuenca to see right out of the front door.
