"We stayed at Hetland Hall for one night on our way south, the hotel and grounds are lovely. We checked in and were informed that we'd been allocated a 2nd floor room and there is no lift in the hotel, I'm nearly 70 but there was no offer of a porter to take the case upstairs for us whilst checking in, The room was lovely and the bar and restaurant were both excellent, great food and excellent waiting staff. The breakfast in the morning was first class and again the staff great. The only low light was check in, so if you have an issue with carrying a heavy suitcase up multiple flights of stairs ask for a ground floor room."

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff , the first thing that I noticed was the entrance looking down , it looked amazingly clean and welcoming. The lift was on the left side soon as you walk in which makes it easier to locate , our room was clean and has comfortable beds and was very roomy , the bathroom was spacious and clean , the staff that clean the rooms do an amazing job , we had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again ."

"Great hosts very friendly, hotel is situated right on the edge of the nightlife area. Big breakfast great breakfast room. Close to all amenities. The Hotel is an old converted town house with all the rooms upstairs. Big wide staircases no lift. The pub next door has a good selection of food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our stay. ."
