"Lots of personal care by owner and this made the stay enjoyable and memorable. I had a free upgrade to the deluxe room too! Excellent amenities for the venue and room was warm - catered for by a good heater. I rate this place highly, if you want a bit of time out of town for a nature retreat and quiet space. "Dining at the restaurant was a real treat and surperb. Food was fantastic and satisfied both adults and growing teenage boy. Massive meals, highly recommend the sausage platter and share for two. "We had a wonderful stay at Possum Lodge - much more than we expected! We booked one of the family cottages - cottage 2. As others have noted, it’s rustic, yet charming. We felt it was a good size for the three of us and the amenities were good. Best part was the surrounds - very well maintained and beautiful garden, set amongst native trees and right next to the lake. We had afternoons where we just chilled outside.
