Welcome to LAKIN’ IT EASY ! This log cabin is one of the very few waterfront vacation rentals in the high country. Main level has 1 bedroom with QUEEN bed, and Full pull out couch, shared full bath, fully stocked kitchen including all full size appliances and an abundance of kitchen gadgets and small appliances including Cuisinart Mixer, Keurig coffee maker, toaster and more. Luxury dining room area that overlooks the lake and a living room area with two separate niches one for TV watching and one for enjoying the fire. Main level also includes access to walkout full deck overlooking pond and plenty of seating for you and your guests. Upper level master with KING and private full bath, shower only, shower has multiple shower heads, 2 wands, and rain shower heads from above. There is also a small loft with extra seating on upper level. Basement has full bath with walk-in shower tub combo also doubles as steam shower, tub. 2 sets of bunk beds in lower bedroom one is full over full one is twin over full. (See pictures) Laundry is on the lower level in a mud room off the back deck as well as the game room with air hockey,pacman machine and various games for your friends and family to enjoy. Lower level also has the movie area complete with massive flat screen TV and surround sound to really amp up the experience! Flat screen TV's on main floor family room, master suite, main floor bedroom and lower game room/movie room. House has a Skybest high-speed internet as of August 2024. Guests have access to the community amenities including swimming pool, fitness center,(walking distance) clubhouse (game room with pool table), tennis court, paddle boats, three ponds for fishing, campground, hiking trails,playground, chapel and more! Perfect location for all area events from North Wilkesboro and Merle Fest to Blowing Rock for the always delightful concerts in the park! Appalachian University is just up the road about 10 miles along with the all the shopping, restaurants, local artisans, the sites and sounds of King St in Boone. Local ski resorts include App Ski Mountain, Sugar Mtn, Beech Mtn. Visit Hawks Nest for some zip lining or grab those yummy snacks and sit by the river with a glass of wine from one of our favorite places, Grandfather Vineyards. Local breweries are plentiful, some of our favorites include AMB, Booneshine, and Molly Chompers. Go gem mining for your next ruby or emerald and then take the family and friends to Tweetsie for some western wranglin' fun! Linens are provided at the house for all guests. 4 Wheel drive is not necessary for this property. Gravel driveway Gas fireplace, Gas grill. Two kayaks available for use at the house. Please put in where the paddle boats are and do not remove from the community. Life jackets are available at the pier. Queen size blow up mattress in basement with full set of linens. No Pets. This house does not have a hot tub it has a jetted tub in the basement bathroom. Please note that in pictures!

Perfection!
We loved our stay. The home was very on point. Beautiful decor & finishes. My kids loved the downstairs area - bunk beds, tv with comfy chairs & blankets, air hockey, & game machine. My husband and I enjoyed all the outdoor seating and the indoor fireplace at night.

Wonderful home a little further out of town then I expected but still nice. Manager was very helpful an even came to re light pilot lite for us when it went out on fire place. A little challenging arriving at night with directions. Overall great stay.

The only things that could be improved ( not dealbreakers at all) the main bed should define a queen not a double, the ice maker/water should work in the fridge and it would be super nice to have some sort of steps going down the back yard to the lake/trails. It was a great time staying here!

The home was beautiful. Rockers on the porch were a true highlight. Be prepared to be disconnected as the internet and satellite were extremely limited. It is very far from everything. Had a great stay. Would not recommend for younger children.

There was plenty to do for all the kids ranging from 10-17. Community pool, great trails to hike and lakes to fish at. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 6 kids. The cabin had everything needed to cook for 10 people. Fun game/movie room for the kids. Everyone in our party of ten had a great time! The property manager was readily available for any questions or concerns. We would stay her again.

Property Needs Updating
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice stay at Lakin it Easy. The cabin needs some updating and improvements. First is the front door locking mechanism. The door will not unlock after putting in the code. After 3 tries it resets and then the display will not activate. Even with new batteries it still would not work and we had to leave the back door unlocked when we went anywhere. Second the outdoor deck furniture is rusted and strewn around the deck. Not safe to sit on. The wooden chairs need painting and the seat cushions need replacing. One of the orange cushions is in the woods probably blown off the deck by the wind. Third the mini split heating/AC unit at the top of the stairs leaks water onto the floor. It cannot be used. Lastly a breaker tripped that controls the receptacles in the master bedroom. It would not reset and needs replacing. Lamps, TV and portable AC would not work due to the breaker.The property manager is receptive to these issues being fixed.

Exceeded Expectations
We have long talked about renting a cabin/mountain house for the week of Thanksgiving as our two families have shared the holiday together for several years now. The 3 levels were absolutely perfect for the kids, us early risers on the main floor and the not so early risers on the third :) The hiking trails were a blast (make sure you have weatherproof hiking boots lol), views were amazing, the game room kept the kids entertained as well as us adults. It was overall a great time! We did read in a review prior to our stay that the tips on the pool sticks were missing so we did come prepared with our own. Thank you for such a great experience and the memories we were able to leave with!

Lovely Place at Lakeside!
Lakeside was beautiful and relaxing. This place had everything for us and everything was easy to access from check-in all the way to check-out. The only few drawbacks I found about Lakeside are: - Both of the pool sticks had not tip - No ping pong balls - No air hockey puck - Top AC unit was leaking We came on a Saturday when it was raining so we didn't have much to do inside. One recommendation I would have to the owner is to have more trash bins outside. We barely had enough room for all the trash and it's kind of inconvenient for us to leave the cabins to drop off trash and come back. Overall, Lakeside is a beautiful place and I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

Great mountain getaway!
Beautiful cabin on the lake in a lovely mountain community! We had a wonderful time! A couple of disappointments as described below, but overall a great cabin for a remote mountain getaway! 1) The outdoor spaces need work. The outdoor furniture is old and dirty and there were missing or no cushions on the deck furniture, so we couldn’t even sit on the couches and enjoy the outdoor views. The decks need to be blown off and thoroughly cleaned. 2) Some of the “clean” dishes were dirty and the remote to the fireplace needed new batteries, so it didn’t work. 3) Deep Gap is VERY remote, and it took longer to get into Boone/Blowing Rock than we anticipated (40-50 min) but the drive to get into town was beautiful!!

The property was overflowing with positive energy from the time of arrival until check out. The decor and color scheme is welcoming. The entertainment was nostalgic. We highly recommend this luxurious Cabin. It allowed plenty of room for two families to comfortably enjoy and really relax. It had everything you could wish for to keep kids occupied and adults too. We spent many late nights whether nestled by the fire or engaged in fun games in rec was a blast. Time seemed to stand still and we truly relaxed. Hardest part was leaving. Perfect getaway
We arrived at a well kept clean home away from home. The rooms were nicely decorated, all the necessary utensils available in the kichen, fun game room. We could stay there for several days without the need to go elsewhere for fun. My kids already insist on returning in the near future.

Beautiful home! Lots to do for all ages.
The home was just as pictured and super clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space and seating for 7 of us. My husband, father and three boys really enjoyed the game room. We all enjoyed the paddle boats and lake. Would definitely love to stay here again!
