"We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay which has a private bath and was near Denali. The lady at the office was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and has everything we needed. The bed wasn't very comfy, but that is a subjective thing. The walls between units were thin, so we turned on our white noise (phone) to sleep. They weren't loud, but we could easily hear them. Breakfast at the creekside restaurant was very good. "

"The Denali Sunset House was to be our "base camp" for activities in the area. It was hard to leave the house. We wanted to just sit and enjoy nature. Becky and Terry have included so many thoughtful touches. House was spacious for our group of 8. Beds were comfortable. Communication was easy. Would happily stay again."

"Beautiful spot. Rustic of course. The road in is quite difficult. You need both the 4wd (which I had) and some offroading skills (which maybe I had less of). But Dave got us through it; picked us up inhis ATV and got our car out. If you do decide to try it yourself you need to commit to it. I got stuck because I was timid. Ideally get there before dark."

"Stayed a couple of days in Talkeetna for New Years. Everyone loved the cabin. My kids loved the loft area and playing outside on the property, especially doing s'mores with the firepit. My wife enjoyed the sauna and being able to relax and read a book with an amazing view of the outdoors, and I enjoyed the well stocked kitchen. We all had a blast and can't wait to go back. Amazing hosts!"

"Hidden away but easy to get to. Clean, updated spaces, comfortable beds, small but efficient bathroom with good shower. We were 3 adults and it worked out well. Good communication with property manager. "

"The owners have a lovely property with three cabins. Lots of woods in a peaceful setting. Sitting on the front porch is relaxing with a view of the mountains. We even saw the Aurora Borealis. The cabin we rented was clean and had a full kitchen (no dishwasher) and 2 queen beds. The location is convenient to Denali without the traffic. Healy is a small town with a few good restaurants, a small grocery store, and gas stations. There are also Denali flightseeing companies in Healy. We would stay...

"When we walk into this cabin, it's like coming home. This was our second time there and we were at home. People in the area are really friendly and just nice. The cabin is clean, it has everything you need and I love that they have a gas stove. It's so quiet and as writers, it gives us time to get away from a large city and write, read a book or just sleep!! "

Pickup from the train station is available for an extra price. It was convenient to use as you get a tag for the hotel when you check into the train, and they take from there to the hotel. I would recommend it as a fine base for your Denali adventure. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lodge during our trip to Denali National Park. We had a riverside room and the view from our balcony was incredible. The room was very clean, comfortable and just a very short drive to the park entrance. On the downside, the room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. The wi-fi is free for 30 minutes but after that you have to pay an additional charge and we had virtually no cell service with Verizon. This was not a problem for us since our purpose was to enjoy the outdoors and visit Denali. We would absolutely stay there again."
