Perfect Getaway, especially if you have dogs
We showed up the place was immaculately clean, totally stocked with anything you would ever need.(minus hair dryer, so take one) The coolest thing was the gated in fence with a doggie door that leads to the patio. It was absolutely perfect for my dogs and us as well. Very peaceful and beautiful view of the river.

I absolutely love this cabin. This was our second time visiting. My husband and I stayed here last fall during my school district's fall break. This year I brought my daughter and her husband as we celebrated her turning 30 years old. This cabin is a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with the family. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Everything you need is provided even firewood which is a nice bonus. We had a bonfire every night as we took in the views of the river and the stars. If you are a nature person like me, this cabin is the perfect spot to get away from the city and recharge. I hope to visit again next year!

My husband and I stayed two nights and could not have been more comfortable. The cabin was so well-equipped, clean, comfortable. The covered deck was a perfect place for early morning coffee, leisurely lunch and early evening games. And the view of the river? Absolutely beautiful!

Arrived somewhat early and host was able to let us in. Was suprised as had rented river cabins before that were ok but this place was really nice. Great place for dog. Beautiful view. Everything you needed. Great host. Drove around the backroads finding many quaint things. Local market folks were so nice. I would definatly stay here again. Only regret is I started a Mike Pence book that I was unable to finish but came right home and ordered it. Thanks to host for everything.

Weekend getaway
Brought my husband here for an early birthday surprise and it was definitely worth it. The place was absolutely gorgeous and the view was amazing. We spent most of our time down by the river fishing. I loved sitting out on the rock in the morning drinking coffee watching the sun rise. We will definitely be coming back again.

We have stayed here a few years ago, prior to Andrew's ownership and still find it quite comfortable and accommodating. The oversized porch affords THE best view of the river of all the Derby cabins. Giant screen TV is a welcome addition. Your dad stopped by and brought more firewood (thoughtful touch)! We always enjoy Derby and hope to return. Thanks!

Wish we would’ve had longer awesome cabin!
The most relaxing couple of days you’ve had in a long time. Sitting out on the porch watching the barges just enjoying life. Our dog absolutely loved the accommodations. Everything you needed was there. We put together puzzles played board games all on the porch where we spent most of our time, I would come back again over and over. Definitely a 10 out of 10 and the derby people were some of the nicest I’ve ever met.

Great Place Just didn’t work out
We stayed there to get away from the city fireworks. Derby had its own fireworks every night. It just didn’t fit our needs. Get rid of the political books! A vacation home shouldn’t create animosity. Other than that, the house is perfect.

A little summer getaway
Absolutely loved the porch and the view. Owners have thought of everything; the property has everything you need. Accommodating at its finest. Water gun fights, casting lines, board games, hot dog roasts, campfire popcorn + madlib stories, a dip in Rainbow Lake, and ice cream birthday cake. Fun was had by all. We had our nephew and 2 kids. Unplugging and just wholesome fun

Derby Time = Great Time
We love the cabin, location, and scenery. We saw old friends, and several fascinating places. If you come, don't miss the Overlook Restaurant in Leve worth or the Riverview in Hawesville.
