"AVOID!!!!! No one nor any info available at check-in. Hosts supplied email address & mobile number weren’t in service/operational. Hotels.com agents, the hosts management company, Travelnest had the same issue, hence their vetting & monitoring processes are very questionable. Extremely distressing & frustrating experience. Wouldn’t wish the above ‘experience’ on anyone else, AVOID!!!"

"The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throught the stay. Breakfast was excellent plentiful and cooked to perefection."

"The inn/pub was well attended with nice staff. Our only complaint was that there wasn't any salad option on the menu...not even the old caesar in a bag. As it was a work stay, one can only eat so many meat and chips."

"Only down side was woke up by noisy people at 2am then 5am, but no fault of the hotels , Martha in the restaurant was excellent as I couldn’t read the menu and she helped me and sorted it for me even though I was worse for wear for drink !!"

"I’ve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge. The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that there’s nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby. Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isn’t great. I’d like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I don’t eat a full breakfast. I’ll happily stay again. "

"Lovely place, perfect for our 1 night stay with beautiful views. Great food, very friendly staff who were so lovely and comfortable room. A 5 min drive into Holmfirth. We'll definitely be back. "
