"Culloden House is an outstanding hotel. The period Georgian manor is breathtaking with an impressive great lawn. The inside of the hotel is what you expect of traditional, historic charm and beauty. It is also clean and immaculate. We were served a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed fine dining in the evenings. The staff is outstanding which very much enhanced our stay. We didn’t want to leave. "We had a fantastic 2 night stay. Our suit was gorgeous. Tasteful design, amazingly comfortable bed, great facilities in the room even tangerine bath salts and radox for the bath! The rest of the castle, while a bit dated is quirky and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Even puppy Hecter was there to say goodbye when we checked out. Dinner was nice. Reasonably priced, well cooked duck and venison and gorgeous chocolate delice! The only downside to our stay was the quite terrible...

"The check in is SO confusing. We checked in at the castle up the road. They stated we were in the cottage so we went to the cottage which did not have our room number. We went back to the castle and they finally told us to go to the pub and the room was above it. Great room, 2 bathrooms!"
