"We really enjoyed our two night stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is so convenient to everything to see in the old town. We could walk to everything and could pay to park the car in a space at the front of the hotel during our stay. This was a much cheaper option to the nearby parking stations. They also had a service to have clothes washed and returned same day at a nearby laundry which was very helpful for us. Would definitely stay again if I visit Lucerne again"

"This is an old building so yes, there will be creaky floors and ‘ambiance’ that some may not appreciate. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. The view from our room (552) was out over the street towards Lake Lucerne. We had 3 windows, 2 of which were French doors opening into balconies. Easy walk to bakeries, local cheese shop, grocery, and many ‘best of Lucerne’ sites. Bus to the main train station was super easy. "

"We liked the property’s proximity to many of the sights to see in Luzern, however one day we came back from a day of going out and the door was wide open. We doubled checked when we left that the door was closed, so it must have been housekeeping that left our door wide open. Luckily all our things were still in the room and not stolen. After that we did not let housekeeping come into our room in fear that they would leave our door wide open again."

"We enjoyed our stay at Des Alpes during our visit to Lucerne. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff is multilingual and very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located near the old town, an area with shops and restaurants, riverside next to the chapel bridge and close to the train station. Breakfast is nice although the ticket system suits them more than the guests IMO. Recommend "
