"This is our second time staying at this hotel. We booked the Basic Twin Room. The bathroom is quite old. It was very different to where we stayed in last year (we got a "new" room). I think this needs to be renovated, but the room itself is quite comfy, except the air conditioner. We tried to set the temperature to the lowest with high fan, but the room was still hot and stuffy especially when sleeping. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the stay. "Fantastic. Only things are - dark old corridors and escalators. Common area is bit not clean and old. It depends on the area, the rooms and toilets, showers are awesome, Nice hot bath, sauna and Tv, desk are in the room. Very comfortable and relaxing. "

"The Hotel Nikko was perhaps the finest hotel I have ever stayed in!! EVERYTHING was exceptional! The staff was very courteous and helpful with us with navigating Japanese language. The front lounge was a beautiful setting for us to meet with friends. The breakfast buffet was something i looked forward to every morning- vast variety of Japanese cuisine and other breakfast foods. "Good location. Central to most attractions being close to the castle. We only spent a night in kumamoto but felt that this hotel was good value. Parking in front of the hotel was a bit tight depending on the spots available. They do have another parking area though. Hotel was clean and as described in the listing. Overall, a good stay."
