"We arrived early due to disembarking a ship in the morning. The staff stored our luggage and sent a text to let us know the room was ready. The concierge was very helpful with local information re public transport and ordering a taxi. The room was spacious, bed comfortable as well as quiet."

"Had a great night's stay, hosted by the engaging Julia and her husband. They are keen art and antiques collectors who clearly love their old hotel. We opted for the rustic Garden Room (It was probably once a servants quarters or the kitchen), downstairs and out the back next to the kitchen garden and several friendly cats. We went for dinner that night in a terrific Indian restaurant round the corner in the main street and afterwards lay happily in bed looking up at the vaulted timber shingled...
