"This is a grand old hotel located across from the Victoria Parliament building. The hotel was charming but lacked some of the modern conveniences available in newer properties. The air conditioners were old and did not adequately cool our suite, which would be a problem during the summer months. However, the hotel is a beautiful property with a wonderful history, and we would definitely stay here again."

"We arrived early due to disembarking a ship in the morning. The staff stored our luggage and sent a text to let us know the room was ready. The concierge was very helpful with local information re public transport and ordering a taxi. The room was spacious, bed comfortable as well as quiet."

"Loved staying here for the location, uniqueness and history. Our room was not on the harbour side so it was quite dark but comfortable. We went to a concert at The Barracks so a perfect spot to stay for that reason too. "

"This is a beautiful place to stay. We stayed here for 2 nights as a final destination after doing a road trip for 12 days. It was lovely just to sit on the verandah and relax with a book and a nice drink. The only thing i would probably say is that they kept the heating on in the hotel all day and night, i know this is a really big old hotel that may get cold in winter but it was so hot and stuffy.
