Historic Hotels in Normandy

"It was my second visit to Bayeaux, and the second stay in the well located and charming Hotel Le Lion d'Or. Onsite parking is a bit of a trick, but do-able. Their restaurant is first class, and a stop in the bar is a must. The rooms are clean and quiet, but may be up a couple of flights of stairs. There is no elevator. Willing staff will help with luggage. The rooms are spotless and roomy and often have charming views of the interior courtyard. Staff is phenomenal. "

Only at le mont st Michel you have an omelette like this , despite $$$ it is worth the experience. The checking was great and we have been very well served and welcome by the amazing young lady and young gentleman . "This is not a big chain hotel with cookie-cutter amenities and sterile facilities. It presents as a family run, quaint, quiet and comfortable place to stay while exploring Normandy. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The facility is not brand new, but is well-maintained. I would and will stay here again."

"Quiet room, spacious. Staff was very nice especially the gentleman on duty at night, very knowledgeable about the history of the city. Breakfast is excellent with excellent products (local "charcuterie" and cheese). A little far from downtown (1o min walk) but not that bad. Old building well maintained and the room I had was very comfortable."
