"We looked forward to staying at the Oscar. Upon arrival no one at reception and no instructions about what to do. I located the telephone number on Hotels.com and spoke with someone who gave me the entry code and then sent a text with information. The room was in need of paint and a deep cleaning. "Nice place in the heart of Le Havre. Good restaurants within easy walking distance and a nice waterfront nearby. We used the underground parking garage across the street. One caution -- if you're like us and day-tripping to other destinations, like Mont St. Michel, if you come back later at night, many of the roads will be closed for construction, necessitating agonizing guesswork in finding your way back. Ask the front desk for help prior to setting out."

"I wish I would have had a better review before I decided on this hotel. Lots of issues with this hotel. Check in is not until 5PM. This alone was enough not to stay there. After a 7 hour flight and 3 hour drive we wanted to freshen up a bit but no possibility. Not even anyone at all at the hotel. No one at front desk, in fact no front desk.
