"We had the unfortunate experience of having all our luggage stolen, our money stolen and our rental car broken into. Directly following that experience we arrived at your hotel 2:30 am in the morning . The staff went above and beyond to provide a lovely meal for us, drinks , essentials such as toothbrush, toothpaste and even facial Products. The next day they did their best to close up the broken window of our car all by their own volition. The hotel, food and service plus incredible view...

"A clean, comfortable, and quiet hotel with easy access to the centre of Lerici. The hotel has a pleasing view of the harbour, a great breakfast buffet, and the free parking was very welcome. The decoration is a tad dated, but it is all to a good standard and relaxing. I want to give a special nod to the catering staff who managed the breakfasts as well as the cleaning staff--they were very friendly and accommodating. Our only minor quibble was that the front desk staff could be a bit brusque...

"An absolutely gorgeous waterfront property that will instantly calm and relax you. My family and I (3 total) stayed a few days here in August and it was wonderful! there were a few things to keep in mind when booking here however. If you're looking for a touristy, night life place, this is probably not the place you're looking for. "This is a nice hotel with a nice pool. The location is only ok but within walking of about 7-8 minutes the beach appears. The hotel is fairly basic with limited dining options when we were there. Fabulous croissants at breakfast…best we have had in many a hotel. We would say the hotel was good value but wouldn’t see it as special"

"This was an excellent choice for a place to stay in La Spezia. I am so happy that i booked this hotel. The decor was modern. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. Even the people staying at the hotel were friendly. The breakfast was great as well amd had a good variety of food to choose from. The room was comfortable and I had a huge balcony. I love being near clock towers and this room didn't disappoint! It is walkable to the train station and just about everything else in La Spezia. If you need a place to stay, The Poet Hotel is it! For the people who talk about the strong fragrance, this is a large reed diffuser that is located in the stairwell. It was noticable outside the room, but definitely not in my room. "

" We arrived at the hotel during the night when it was already dark. In the morning, as I woke up and looked out the window, the view was simply breathtaking. The area is stunning and very inviting. Parking at night is available around the hotel, with free public parking until the morning. However, the reception desk offers a more convenient parking arrangement in a dedicated lot just one block away, which I would highly recommend. The staff was kind and accommodating, and the hotel is clean, elegant, and well-maintained. A highly recommended stay!"
