"Although basic was warm and comfy there was hairs all over the bathroom and bed from previous person sockets were in odd place and roller blind didn’t work didn’t spoil my stay though I found it pleasant enough easy check in was taken to room explained codes previous reviews said noisy doors slamming ect traffic noise I didn’t experience any of this found it easy to sleep and quiet great location and easy to find "

"We were working in the area, easy public transport into centre asda literally 2minutes walk away, property was very clean and tidy and any questions were answered straight away . Ideal for what we needed, will definitely be staying again"

"Awesome little out of the way cottages, we had a simple over night stay for a birthday and the cottage was perfect. Extremely clean, looked to have just been refurbished with everything needed for a short stay. Lovely few drinks at the Bay horse infront of an open fire, with well priced excellent food. "We had a lovely stay. Nice views over the fields. Kitchen well equipped with tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits. Luxury feel. Enjoyed the hot tub which was warm and ready for us arriving. Would recommend this place and I think we’ll be back."

"This very comfortable place was ideal for my wife, 3 son, and dog. Sea views from front room and bedrooms were amazing. The beach is directly accessible by a series of step with no road between. We have a well-behaved dog, and did not use the lead from house to beach. Our host Patsy was very responsive and took care of any minor issues very rapidly. Highly recommend even in the winter. I imagine it would absolutely incredible in the summer "

"This place is even more beautiful and unique than the pictures! We had an incredible stay here and really loved the location, wildlife and surroundings. Very clean and well kept, tastefully decorated and made for an unforgettable visit. Would love to come back one day!"

"This is a lovely little place with a great pub with really friendly staff and great food. Excellent dog walk on the other side of the road. The room has a fridge microwave kettle and toaster. The owner was a bit stressed about the shower having failed but they had called a plumber and all was fixed with no problems and lots of apologies. Would recommend!!"

"We had a great stay here in between Christmas and new year! So much to do for the kids and loads of toys/board games provided too! Welcome basket with loads of M&S produce was a lovely touch! "

"We booked this as a large group and it didn't disappoint. The apartments were well laid out with ample space in the living room areas. There was great cleanliness throughout and areas stayed at a nice temperature. The accomodation was really quiet at night and the key system although awkward at first was easier than keys. "Lovely clean property with lots of space and rooms. Gardens beautiful and accessible with seating. Adults and children really enjoyed our stay however having tv in the reception rooms downstairs would have been ideal. Kitchen was really well stocked with cutlery And plates but there was no basics like salt pepper oil etc. Overall lovely family home. plat3s"

Historic building

"When you staying in an historic building as old as the railway line it serves, there's certain aspects that is going to feel dated. Sure, it's not going to feel like a brand new building but the age gives the hotel some character. The room was perfect for a two night stay, clean and a nice size TV not some portable TV."

"I stayed at the Delta for one night with my husband whilst visiting our son at Durham University. The location couldn’t be better as it is just across the bridge from the Bailey. Our room was very specious, clean, quiet and comfortable and we will definitely book again. "

"Clean and comfortable hotel, staff were friendly and helpful when checking in. Decent amenities in room and fairly modern. Hotel is only a 20 minute walk from Newcastle city centre. All in all a great choice"
