Staff is very helpful. The lobby looks like it needs some renovation. Place is very close to restaurants, shops and grocery store, walking distance to the water. My husband even briefly saw the Northern Lights one night. Can't wait to come back."

"Svalbard Lodge. A basic 2 bedroom apartment with very good kitchen with oven hot plates and dishwasher. The bench is a bit awkward due very low cupboards There is less than one meter from cupboard to bench. Not good for tall people. A large bathroom with washing machine and bath with shower. The bedrooms are typical Scandinavian very small with just bed or beds. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Brandon the Filipino handyman was brilliant. A great conversationalist who loved a joke or two. He was excellent at talking and working at the same time. He quickly fixed the problem managing things in a professional way. "
