"We ate at the hotel restaurant, 1921. The service was attentive, pleasant and all-out welcoming. Gonzalo was very knowledgeable and his hospitality was second to none. We were able to try and enjoy local wine that he recommended and his ability to speak English was an added bonus. The staff and hotel are amazing and any would-be traveler to Montevideo should make a point to have dinner at "1921" and afterwards head to reception and reserve a room. Fantastic!"

"The Front Desk manager treated my wife as a prostitute daring to ask for her cell number as he was leading her upstairs to our Suite! She only told me this lately, otherwise I would have confronted the person. With the high category of this hotel your staff should be reserved, respectful and protective of the high level clientelle. "With a building that looks more like a work of art nestled in a forest, the resort is a unique experience! You can see that the building is a little aged and in need of some maintenance, but nothing that would lose the shine of the place."
