"Everything about this spot and stay was seamless and stunning. The views, the location, the ability to still work (I was on a work trip) and have reception was an extra bonus. The host was great to communicate with and there was everything we could need. So happy the fire was stoked and ready to roll. Despite being so high up and a heritage building.. the newly installed joinery meant the heat was not lost at all through the night and it was a really comfortable and safe stay. Appreciate...

"Peaceful, comfortable accommodation, lovely area. Nice local chaps gave us some flounder fresh from the harbour. Quintessential NZ. Dog friendly too. Would definitely return. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing private stay."

"Home away from home"

"We just stayed there for 2 nights , but where thinking to expand. Location is fabulous- lots of things to do around the next 100 km . Good Fishing and walking . Very relaxed carefree Days ."

"What a beautiful home, so comfortable and welcoming after a long stressful week at work. My sister inlaw was supposed to come from Hastings but couldn't make it at the last minute due to health reasons so my brother in-law and partner stayed. Sorry we didn't get to meet Patsy but we all thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. instead"

"Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. Loved the location being so close to the lake.Everything was clean and tidy. There were dog Poos left behind from previous tenants so we cleaned them up. My only suggestion would be to please leave a manual for the oven. Had us totally confused! We were here for a dog Trial in Tokoroa and hesitated about the travel each day but was definitely worth it. Again, many thanks. Maree"

"Gorgeous little Bach, bought back childhood memories of my grandparents Bach. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness, in fact perfect condition for its age and so cosy. Absolutely loved our stay. Definitely hope to be back. Couldn’t fault a thing at all. Thank you so much."

"Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views across the lake. Being right on the lakefront makes it easy to go for a swim whenever you want. House is clean and tidy and has a real holiday bach feeling to it."

Clean and comfortable stay

"We only stayed for one night at Waitomo Lodge but quite enjoyed it. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Check in and out was straightforward. After reading previous reviews we put our headphones on before going to sleep and didn't hear any trains, had a very good night sleep."
