"Gorgeous building, slightly tired but charming old interior. Well cleaned. Breakfast was just average, self service hot food that was only warm and new toaster needed - options were either anaemic or burnt. Bed was very comfortable except pillows. Didn't like how dogs were allowed in the dining areas while we're were eating. "

"My wife and I stayed at the Elms for a one night stay as a birthday treat. The hotel is a beautiful building set in pretty park grounds. There was ample parking. Check-in staff were brilliant! Very friendly and professional. The gentleman helped us carry our luggage to the top floor which could be a bit of a hike for less mobile people or someone who struggles with stairs. "The hotel was beautiful. Rooms was incredibly cosy and bed was so comfortable. The only thing I’ll note is that for me, as a solo traveler, I felt that the hotel was a few socio econmic levels above what I’m comfortable in. It seemed to be frequented by a higher echelon of society and as a result I felt a bit out of place. That said, I’d wanted a quiet solo retreat to rest and relax and I was able to do just that. "

"Have stayed here a few times and it is basic but clean and tidy and very convenient for the station. We ate dinner here last night and I would absolutely not recommend the food, it was borderline inedible. Breakfast on the other hand is always a solid offering. We will be back, but will dine elsewhere."
