"I had the worst experience with a host. After I booked and paid through Vrbo, for 48 nights for 14 persons, the owner asked for an additional payment of 42% of the price. I thought it is unbelievable. I did not accept this, I wanted to cancel. After some days of messaging, when the emergency state was imposed in France and she realized she will not get other guests, she accepted my offer to pay a small additional amount and finalized the booking. "This is a lovely house and large enough for extended family. great walled garden for kids and dogs. Nice peaceful area and lots of space inside. Great conservator with table. "The house is a large, beautiful gite with everything we required for our stay; good facilities, clean and a well maintained pool on a daily basis. The property is situated on a hill side allowing for unspoilt scenery in the sunshine. The owners were incredibly helpful, had very speedy responses and allowed us to book on the day! "From the initial contact at reception for booking in with a welcoming friendly greeting, to checking out after a restful, quiet and comfortable stay, it's been a pleasant overnight stop off on our journey through France to the UK. Ideally located just off the motorway, but it's very quiet. There are numerous places to eat close by. We didn’t use any, but friends have frequently used them and have been happy with what they've ordered (showing your Kyriad room key wallet gets a price reduction from some businesses)."

"We found the walk to restaurants along the riverside very pleasant and the parking much easier than another hotel where we had stayed before. The one thing we missed was tea or coffee making facility in the room, but we were able to get coffee in reception. The breakfast was plentiful and had soya milk available as requested."
