"Staed one night. Greeted at reception by a lovely lady. Very informative and friendly. Room 14 was a bit dated and tired. Bed not that comfortable but huge ! Pillows ok but one too little and 2 too much. Did not sleep well. Could hear every noise from people next door. Paintwork throughout hotel could do with a refresh. Carpets very worn in places. Service and food in restaurant was very good even though they were busy."

"Booked myself and my black Labrador in for 3 nights. Spacious room, nice decor and very clean. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The full English breakfast was spot on with good quality items. (Thank you Ben). All the staff were engaging and very helpful. Great value for money! Would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again should I be down that way again."

"Good stay for one night although the room was right on the roadside so some traffic noise particularly annoying in the early morning. Good food, dinner and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful."

"The hotel was isolated. It was very quiet at evening times so would not like to sit in the bar more or less by ourselves. No access to Sky Sports ( which Greene King is well known for) so we travelled to other venues. It is a lovely hotel and bar but only for those who like a really quiet time."
