We had an amazing time at the tent camp. From the second we arrived to the day we left Fernando and his staff treated us like royalty, better than a 5 star resort. The food was amazing.Fresh, local cuisine and the portions were large.Dont trust the weather forecast on the internet as we expected rain and thunderstorm's every day but it was beautiful every day until at least 3pm then passing showers a couple of the days. The facility's are clean and kept up.There are miles of good hiking trails at the camp that follow the coast in both directions. We hiked 3 days during our stay and it was absolutely beautiful. We felt safe at all times and saw 3 types of monkey's, Sloths, tapier, ant water and various other indidginous wildlife. We did the Zipline canopy tour as well and it was awesome,13 zip lines and relatively close to camp.I can't say enough good things about this camp we enjoyed every minute of time there. A couple things to expect when booking through Expedia that I didn't catch; You need to book your own flight or transportation from San Jose to the camp and back. We used Sansa air into Drake Bay airport and Fernando had us picked up by car at our expense and brought to as close to camp as they can go then walked in.This was also a great way to see the real Costa Rica back country. Don't worry, Fernando will greet you at the car and carry your luggage into the camp. You may also come by boat depending on your situation. Remember you are in the rain forest so prepair properly.

Lovely setting, well taken care of. Nice food. Very pleasant. What I didn't like was the fact that we disembarked from the boat at Drake Village, and only because I asked on the beach where the Tent Camp was was I informed that we had to get back on the boat to get to the Tent Camp. That information should be made available before disembarking with all your baggage.

Pros Outstanding wifi.. some of the best I’ve experienced Entry by boat and completely isolated Lockers provided with key.Tent closes securely so feel protected from bugs Fan and sheet only keep sufficiently manageable temp. glorified camping. Expect to be roughing it to a degree. Headlamp is a must. Fresh drinking water always available in camp as well as coffee and tea. Dinner eaten with other guests so very interactive. This turned into a huge positive and made for an amazing experience. The path to Drake Bay village And rio claro and playa San josecito passes right through the village. One hour walk to the village and 1-2 hours to the other places. Arrangment for snorkel tour which was outstanding and worth it and the Corcovado national park tour. We hiked Down to rio claro along a clear trail along the ocean Cons More places to hang stuff to dry at tent? Everything felt damp b/c it is so close to the ocean. Nothing dries well. Very humid Must eat dinner at camp as isolated from town. Not a good idea to travel footpaths at night A short journey to the toilets at night. spiders, lizards, toads on the paths at night etc. But like most bugs etc, they don’t want to interact with You either. surprised how tolerant I quickly became. Minimal mosquitos and nocium bites. would be nice to see a little more site cleanup, more fresh vegetables/ variety with dinner....( everything must be brought in by boat so there are limitations) Kayaks have holes and are under repair

What a cool experience, Drake Bay is a stunning and untouched part of Costa Rica. Only accessible by boat this Tent Camp is an oasis from the busier tourist regions. The boat trip in is an experience by itself. Don’t miss the easy hike on the coastal trail that runs through the camp. The beaches and views are stunning. The Tent Camp staff are friendly and look after all the details for scheduling excursions and activities. The meals are great and provide a relaxed atmosphere for meeting the other campers who come from all parts of the world.

The tent camp is a great place to base out of for day trips to Corcovado National Park and for a day trip to snorkel at Cano island. We saw lots of animals, including a tapir, at the park and while snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles and rays. We stayed a few more days and walked around the tent camp - there is a trail in one direction toward the town of Drake Bay and a Trail in the other direction toward Rio Claro - a sweet little freshwater swimming hole! Of course, it is not all about doing - we also took a day and just relaxed in a hammock reading a book, listening to howler monkeys and watching scarlet macaws while listening to the waves. The sunsets were amazing, the night skies were awesome. There are many perfect little beaches, most are deserted. Spend some time on this wild coast - it will be memorable!!!

Pura Vida on the OSA!
Larry, the owner, met us in Sierpe where we took their boat down the river and to Corcovado Adventure tent camp. We had a great five night stay. Our roomy tent had a great beachside view with a nice ocean breeze. Meal times were a great opportunity to chat with other travelers. Our tours to Corcovado National Park and Cano Island were wildlife rich as was the trail we hiked up and down the coast from the tent camp. We found Larry’s place to be a comfortable and relaxed place to vacation on the Osa Peninsula. Pura Vida.

The ideal base for wildlife viewing and relaxing
We spent 2 nights at the tent camp. Getting there is an experience in itself (one hour boat ride from Sierpe). Tents are large (1 double and 1 single bed) and clean with lighting, socket for charging devices and a very effective fan. Each tent has an outdoor covered seating area and plenty of ropes etc for hanging clothes. Lovely hammocks for relaxing. Food was excellent and very well presented. Water and coffee/tea available all day. Bathroom block clean with plenty of toilets and and showers, and really not far from the tents. Beautiful views of the beach and sea, and you can walk along the coast to numerous other lovely beaches. No rubbish or plastic in sight. We did the night walk, Corcovado park hike and Cano Island snorkelling tours. These were certainly not cheap (esp. with the current GBP/USD exchange rate) but definitely value for money given the variety of wildlife around. We saw more than we have previously seen on rainforest or snorkelling tours, including tapirs, dolphins, humpback whales, turtles, rays, numerous frog and toad species (including the red eyed tree frog), snakes, howler monkeys, birds and of course, many insects. Very good quality snorkelling equipment. Tours start early (6 or 7 am) and you’re back at the camp around lunch time so there is plenty of time for relaxing. Overall an excellent 3 days in a beautiful unspoilt place. Tips - be prepared for beach landings (no jetties) and clothes /shoes being permanently damp!

good tent life
The area of Corcovado is fantastic for those who came to see the jungle life and are ok with shared restrooms and showers. The camp was visited by macaw and monkeys. Frigate birds and pelicans in the sky. A boat ride can be bumpy. The service is mediocre and too relaxed, there is often confusion and lack of information.

Amazing place in the rainforest/on the beach
Corcovado Adventures Tent Camp is an absolute diamond - it's beautifully set on the beach just on the fringe of the rainforest and you'll fall asleep and wake up to the powerful sound of the waves breaking. The food (breakfast, lunch & dinner - included) was great and the manager Johnny is super friendly and helpful. He can help you arrange tours and trips around Corcovado (like scuba diving & guided treks in the national park). In the camp itself we saw Scarlet Macaws, white-faced monkeys, Jesus Christ Lizards and lots of other birds. It's a 45 minute beautiful walk from the camp to Rio Claro which offers a wonderful freshwater swim which is slightly cooler than the hot ocean. They also offer free use of kayaks and snorkeling gear, but the heavy surf might make it tricky. Best stay & experience of our 2 week holiday (4 nights).

The location is absolutely gorgeous. The tents are roomy, clean and in good shape. The beds are comfortable. The view from our tent was spectacular. Staff were fabulous, going way out of their way to accommodate our every desire.

El hotel es lindo, en una zona completamente aparte, pero eso hace que sólo tengas opción a comer ahí y los alimentos son muy caros y muy simples, sin darte a escoger ni hora ni platillos.
