"The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is quite good and the rooms are comfortable. It’s a good place to stop for a night close to the Rock of Cashel. The hotel facilities were nice but you’ll need to drive to get anywhere else. All in all I’d highly recommend."

It’s the perfect home base for day trips across the country. we were able to explore so much without ever feeling rushed. The location is peaceful, central, and full of character.One of the best parts was coming back to the cottage and being greeted by the dogs across the gate! Denise and her husband were wonderful hosts, incredibly kind, thoughtful, and a joy to chat with. We had some great conversations and learned so much from both of them.If you’re looking for something more memorable than a standard hotel stay, this is it. "We were visiting Kilkenny and chose Kate’s Rest to stay at. The owner was so kind and took the time to chat and help us with anything we needed, it was a very personable experience. We stayed in a beautiful apartment (we had one double and two twin beds) what came with a kitchen and lovely open shower. The views are unbelievable and it was a great location. We would highly recommend a stay at Kate’s Rest. "
