"Picked up from the airport - lovely lady was waiting with a board with my name on it (and others) gave us all close garlands and a lovely tour of the island - food trucks, supermarket and where to get other bits. The hotel is LOVELYYYY - very nice and my room was huge - very clean and the WiFi works perfectly. Breakfast is very lovely too and healthy. You can tell they think about every last detail. I wanted to go to the Kari Kari show one night and they booked this for me. "

"The place is very up-scale but casual just like the whole island. It would not hurt having it closer to "downtown" as the 15-min walk to another restaurant down a narrow road with no sidewalk gets tiring after a while. The pool is excellent and so is the service. "

"Kona Koa lodge was perfect! The location is peaceful and quiet. There are multiple units on the property but positioned perfectly so you rarely see each other. The units are very clean and look newly built. The bed was very comfortable and unit was beautifully decorated. "We got exactly what we expected considering the price. The best part was the staff and the breakfast was amazing! They were so helpful and always responded quickly! It was a little farther from town but you can easily reach town for 4-5 dollars so it was not a problem for us. The only negative is there was a kitchen but nothing to cook with or eat with. They should remove the kitchen or provide a few pans and plates / flatware "
