Perched above the city, The Lothian Road Residence is a fantastic (not so) little pied-à-terre perfect for your next jaunt to Edinburgh. With three double bedrooms, stripped wooden floors, and views of Edinburgh Castle, this apartment is simply not to be missed.

Taking prime position on the junction of Lothian Road and Bread Street, the light and airy lounge boasts urban views, perfect for people-watching in the cityscape below, or cast your eye right for your own private view of Edinburgh Castle. Stylishly furnished throughout, we invite you to rest your weary feet after a long day’s sightseeing or shopping. The large, flat screen TV and unlimited WiFi should keep you entertained until dinner, at which point why not take advantage of this fantastic location and explore some of the many restaurants and bars on Lothian Road below? If you’ve got the energy and enthusiasm, the fully fitted kitchen is perfectly equipped to help you rustle up your own culinary delights - perhaps using some delicious ingredients from the Castle Terrace Farmers’ Market, running just around the corner every Saturday.

Three double bedrooms are decorated in minimalist design to help you switch off and dream the night away. A family bathroom with shower over bath, and separate WC complete this lovely home from home.

Please note we do not provide hypoallergenic bedding at our properties.

In terms of location, this superb apartment could not do any better. Situated on Lothian Road, all of Edinburgh's main attractions are just a few minutes' walk away, including Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Grassmarket and The Old Town. The immediate area is filled with bars, restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops, and Lothian Road is a main artery for buses running to all areas within the city. Haymarket and Waverley train stations are only 0.5 and 1 mile, respectively, and Edinburgh Airport is just 8 miles away. The nearest tram stop is on Shandwick Place, just a few minutes away at the end of Lothian Road.

This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee. The nearest private car park is the NCP on Castle Terrace

A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 21:00 will incur a late fee of £30 for unsociable hours. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

Check in is from 4pm, and check out is before 11am.

The property itself was OK, there was a problem with one of the beds a huge dip and stained mattress, the property manager arranged to have this taken away and cleaned. Washing machine not plumbed in but again property manager collect washed and dried our cloths. THE biggest thing we were not made aware of the 3 flights of lighthouse style stairs, there was no lift and 60 steps to the apartment, not easy moving our things in. It sais street parking but that is only for 4 hours there is a car park for £17 a day. No plug for the bath and the toilet seats needed securing which they did do. Would not go back to that apartment too many steps, I would use the property managers services again but not there,

The property suited us well as wanted to be close to Edinburgh Castle. The 3 level walk up provided 4 adults with sufficient space to stay for the 2 weeks. Be prepared for some late night / early morning noise and emergency vehicles do use this road constantly. Plenty of local pubs, restaurants and grocery stores close by which made it convenient. The main door entry is not easy to operate and would suggest that this is upgraded to make it easier for tenants.

Worth it
It was very simple. No frills. Definitely worth the price… couldn’t beat it. The stair case was dark, but no problems. The neighborhood is noisy as the small convenient store below is open 24 hours. Great to have laundry! No toilet paper upon arrival. For the price it was worth it, but if you have a bit more in your budget, I like the neighborhoods north of the castle better. This was an easy walk to royal mile and such!

Grand appartement très bien situé
Grand appartement de 3 chambres au 3e étage, vraiment très bien situé à un petit quart d'heure à pied du château d'Edimbourg, à moins de 10 minutes de l'arrêt de tramway West End, avec des arrêts de bus presque au pied de l immeuble. Arrivée et départ via une boîte à clés. Petites supérettes dans la rue. Litterie confortable. Pensez à prendre des bouchons d'oreilles et un masque pour les yeux pour bien dormir. Il conviendrait de rajouter deux chaises supplémentaires, car cet appartement de 3 chambres pour 6 personnes n en a que 4 : nous avons trouvé une solution mais il faudrait vraiment 2 chaises de plus, merci pour les prochains voyageurs !

Magnífica ubicación
Apartamento muy limpio, amplio y luminoso. Está muy bien equipado y tiene todo lo que se puede necesitar para una estancia muy agradable. Sobre todo, la ubicación es excelente. A un tiro de piedra de Pricess Street (New Town) y muy cerca de Grassmarket (Old Town) El trato ha sido en todo momento muy fácil y rápido. Rory nos enseñó el apartamento y fue muy amable. El único "pero" son las escaleras (está en un tercer piso sin ascensor). En nuestro caso, aunque un poco pesado después de jornadas agotadoras por Edimburgo, no fue impedimento para disfrutar de la estancia.
