"Glarnerhof has always been a great place to stay and to eat. The restaurant is very busy with locals for lunch and dinner. I had lamb twice that was so mild that I might have thought it was beef. The hotel is undergoing a remodel which will be done soon but I did not encounter too much trouble from that. "The lobby smelled strongly of smoke due to the smoking room nearby, and that's never a good sign. The rooms were fine and breakfast was average. No AC, but there were fans which we used. Would choose a different hotel next time."

"We arrived very late due to travel complications, and the staff at the hotel was extremely accommodating and allowed us to do a late check-out. They changed the whole cleaning pattern to allow us to stay a little bit longer than the normal check out time, and this allowed us to get some sleep and enjoy the fantastic shower in the room, as well as walk a little around the hotel, which is in a fantastic location. It is a great place to stay!"

"What a unique and interesting property with an amazing Staff. One Person in particular, I believe her name was Leonia, went over and above to help us in any way possible . She was extremely caring and even made us food baskets for our early morning flight as we had to leave the hotel before breakfast time. We stayed in the tower and had amazing mountains and lake view. "Just to keep things in perspective, the issues I had seemed to be temporary due to construction but none the less what I experienced. The room was extremely hot. When I called down to the front desk to ask about it, they told me it was a known issue and should be fixed the next day. It was very hot for a couple days and then a little more managable the rest of the week but I had to keep the balcony door open the entire time (Febuary) just to keep the room at a manageable temp. "The check in process was terrible. It took 1 hour of our time and 3-4 staff to troubleshoot how to open our assigned room. With my troublesome knees, I had to go up and down the stairs (the elevator didn’t work without a working room key!) several times before I could open the our room. Never experienced anything like this"

"The staff were exceptional very approachable, friendly and extremely helpful. All spoke english which was very helpful. The cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel was excellent. The hotel had a very nice atmosphere, pleasant aroma, accessibility to all areas of the hotel and grounds was very good. The spring water pool, infrared and sauna facilities were very tranquil and relaxing. Refreshments were available and the staff were continually checking the facility for clean towels etc. Our suite was brilliant. We had a large balcony with comfortable seating, a powered retractable awning and full power operated shutters. There was an espresso coffee machine, full sitting area with large couch, armchair and coffee table. There were light screens that you could manually open and close to seperate the living room area and the bedroom. The bed was luxurious, premium quality and extremely comfortable. The laundry service was included and I had my fresh clean clothes returned well before checkout the next morning. We had roomservice for dinner and the food was outstanding as well as the prompt service. There is also a well stocked minibar. The hotel grounds are very well maintained. There are several outdoor seating areas around the grounds where you can enjoy the views of the mountains, castle and Vaduz. The only negative is that we were only there for one night, but it honestly felt longer! Highly recommend and hope to go back again and stay longer !!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the LEO: it was close to everything, including the train station. And St Gallen has a lot of offer, in terms of food, historically significant attractions, quick access to the Alps, and other amenities. The hotel was near an abundance of excellent dining and bar options. It has a nice contemporary design, and I would definitely visit this hotel again."
