"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. "Siracusa has been the highlight of our 10 days in Sicily so far and Algilà Ortigia was a great place to visit. Staff was friendly and several went out of their way to be helpful. We are good walkers and could walk to all parts of Ortigia, the island you want to stay on, and be there within 15 minutes. We had a junior suite that was large with several separate areas. Full service breakfast was good, not great. Bed was very big but not the most comfortable Despite these minor things, all four of us loved the hotel and location "

"We loved our 2-night stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Politi in Syracuse! The property is very historic, having been established in 1862, and it is literally built adjacent to one of the archeological sites that Syracuse is known for. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, the Winston Churchill Bar was charming (and they have a daily happy hour with complimentary appetizers), and the breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of choices. There's a large, very well-maintained outdoor pool and deck area, which was a highlight of my visit. The room was very comfortable and well appointed in terms of linens, a refrigerator/mini bar, plenty of electrical outlets, and a functional window. I wish there had been conditioner in the shower, along with shampoo and body wash, but other than that, our stay was excellent."

"Nice hotel. Comfortable and clean. Great staff. WiFi is not good. I selected this hotel because it advertised high-speed internet which I needed for a business meeting. It was terrible- I could not open some necessary pages. I had Zoom with no camera to reduce bandwidth and the transmission was still “garbled” both ways. "

"The best part of this hotel is the property. The private beach, the pool and views. The breakfast that is included is excellent and the restaurant is refined. The hotel and furnishings are a bit dated but the hotel is clean and well maintained. Only thing that’s a negative is that you really can’t walk to anything. You need to drive or take a shuttle to go anywhere."
