"The only negatives I have for this property are that the hot water went away very quickly, there was no stopper for the bathtub, and the automatic lights were hard to turn on in the morning out in the hallway. It’s walkable distance to cite de carcassonne, but it is on the far end of town, pretty far away from the train station. It took me about 45 minutes in the rain. "

"In a fabulous location, right next to the walled town. Accommodation basic but had everything you needed for a short stay. We were able to borrow a kettle and use the laundry facilities. Cooking facilities not very good and reception closed between 12 and 3 so no check in during these times. Reception staff helpful but limited language. Parking available at extra cost."

"The property is typical french quirky and generally enjoyable - since the house is 17th century we can forgive the dim lights and basic electrics. The sewage issue (day 2) was sorted very quickly - this can happen anytime and communications with the manager were very quick. The excellent Comptoir restaurant next door (book ahead) is a real bonus and the boulangerie and convenience store were great too. Villegly is outside Carcassonne but well positioned to explore the area. Our main concerns...

Vu le nombre de personnes qui peuvent y séjourner il faudrait prévoir un plus grand frigo ou un de plus et aussi avoir un congélateur car là nous avions un freezer donc pas adapté pour l'été. "Really well situated - just on the edge of the Bastide and about 15 minutes walk from the walled town. Lovely home with a small pool and excellent outdoor kitchen. It had all the facilities we needed. Our host was very friendly and extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here."
