We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Jutiapa in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Wear comfortable clothes and pack a sweater as it can get quite cool in the cabin. Closed-toed, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There's plenty you can do to reduce your risk. Wear compression socks, drink lots of water and get your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
