"The lodge was just as described - very modern, clean and cosy. The site itself was also lovely. This was the perfect place to stay, close enough to Keswick for things to do but away from the crowds. Highly recommend a stay here, we will be back for sure! "

"Lovely quiet village, ideal location for walkers and dogs, no shops in Portinscale only 1 pub and a cafe. We stayed in apartment- and ate at pub in Portinscale only a 15 minute walk into Keswick lovely walk. Apartment clean , everything you need . The building is Victorian, plenty of room in apartment set in lovely grounds. It is dated, and the hall entrance could do with repainting and new carpets to make it more inviting for guests. "Absolutely gorgeous lodge in a stunning and peaceful location. So handy. Close to all our usual haunts in Keswick but the setting makes you feel like you are wonderfully cut off from the world and I mean that in the best possible way. The lodge was super well equipped and the WiFi was better than at home! Tackled a few more Wainwrights while we were there. Would not hesitate to return to the site. The only minor blip was that there were workers fixing the electrics for some time when we arrived...

"Loved the property and location and the owner of the property was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only problem with the holiday was being able to communicate with the property management company as they could not contact us as they had wrong email information. It did not matter in the end as we spoke to the property owner and he was very helpful and obliging."

"All the facilities are great, decorated beautifully, very comfy bed, nice shower. The information and communication was great with easy check in to the property.The location was really good as it was very near to shops and places of interest but far enough away to avoid noise from bars and traffic. It was right by a sainsburys which was really handy. Will stay again!"

"Cosy, well equipped cottage with a lovely view. Our elderly parents loved that they didn't have to go anywhere to enjoy the beach and they could get out for easy walks. With amenities just a few minutes drive away and local to wildlife viewing options this worked well for us. None of us were keen to leave."

"Was left over chinese takeaway in fridge. Bed sheets were disgusting, lots of hairs and stains. Cups were unwashed. Decking was so slippy, green molud, nearly had a bad fall. Fold away chairs in main bedroom which seems to be from outside had spider nets. We came home after being there few hours and was meant to stay 4 nights. We were so disappointed, angry, deflated as saved up our hard earned cash for our 4 nights away and ended us coming home before we should have. "
