"Wow Morecambe is looking good with amazing views to lakes and Eden Project on way. Hotel very good and of the era, food good and service too. We had 2 amazing fireworks displays too. Id highly recomend driving to Morecambe via Carnforth as the approach is stunning . "

"Highly functional room with everything perfectly placed and all the amenities you would ever want to make for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfast was lovely - highly varied with an amazing selection of gorgeous cheeses and meats, cereals, fruit, waffles, pastries etc plus the usual hot food selection. Tiny downside - I would have liked more veggie offerings. "

"The hotel was comfortable and had wonderful views of the lake . The decor had a Scottish feel and was clean. We were booked to have a Snug but ended up having a classic double. So spacious a d comfortable. For breakfast we had a lot of choice including a full Engish. Staff were polite and helpful. One tip: when you arrive at the hotel, park in front and unload your bags before parking in the car park. Otherwise you will have to carry your bags up stairs to reception. On the whole a lovely hotel close to Lake Windemere. Will definitely stay here again. "

"This is a true gem in the Lakes District. It has a lot of history (which translates into very small rooms and a non-existent barrier between the shower and the rest of the tiny bathroom). But if you don't need a lot of space, the buffet breakfast was great, it's so close to shopping, dining, and the lakefront. A spectacular view of Lake Windermere from an outdoor patio. Which means a very steep walk up from the main drag. Definitely a classy place to stay. "
