"The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is large and well kept. The hot tub is nice to have. They offer a lot for the free complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately when diesel vehicles park outside your window the exhaust fumes come through the heater/air conditioner vent and really smells up the room. I laid towels on the vent as I didn’t use the heater or air conditioner and that helped keep the smell out. It doesn’t happen in all rooms. "

"This was a wonderful stay where the host truly thought of everything. She included so many little touches that went above and beyond your typical VRBO and was very communicative/responsive. We loved having s'mores at the fire pit outside and wish we could have stayed longer. One of the best VRBO hosts I have stayed with. "

"We were there mostly for a place to sleep. Nonexistent communication with chatting on the app. Had to contact VRBO in order to get a number to only find out that the person listed as the host is not who you speak with. Noted hot tub. There is not one (really didn’t matter for us) The garbage out back was horrendous in smelll. Like a dead animal was in there. State’s garbage goes on Fridays. "This was our first time staying at The Shores. This location on Fox Lake is ideal for lake access and local attractions. The Shores Supper Club is an AWESOME dining experience and the Boathouse Pub & Eatery was also excellent. The fishing on Fox Lake is excellent with trophy-sized Northern, Muskie, and Large-Mouth Bass in abundance along with perch, bluegill, and crappie. There is a very nice boat launch with piers across from the cottages and there are many great areas around the lake to fish...
