Castle Gardens 3 bed 4018
2.5 star property
5.0 out of 10, (2)
"Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. "We needed a place that was fairly close to Limerick, the Burren and within walking distance of the shops and cafes. This house fitted our needs. Communication with the owner was good and instructions for entry and operation of the backdoor lock were clear. The kitchen was well equipped and the two bathrooms made getting ready for the day easier."

The cottage is a comfortable well appointed barn conversion that offers authenticity with all of the comforts of home - complete with a homemade apple tart waiting upon arrival. Walking along the paths around the farm provides spectacular views in a quiet and peaceful setting. David and his family are lovely. They are accommodating and respond quickly to all queries. ...

"We spent 5 nights at the thatched cottage to use as a home base for day trips to Southern Ireland. It was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences!! The large farm was peaceful and so much fun to explore. The property was close to Adare for stores and restaurants but yet so private. We did love being visited very day by the two dogs!! Lastly, David was so responsive, helpful and a pleasure to handle everything during the rental. We highly recommend this property."

"The property had so much space. More than enough room for 6 people. There was several restaurants and Pubs in walking distance and lots of shops and even a coffee shop across the street. "One night only but was out for most of the evening. Dined in the restaurant where service was prompt up to main course as we arrived after 9pm and ‘the kitchen was closing’. After main course was served, restaurant staff disappeared and the only staff were those using the restaurant as a thoroughfare on their way home off shift (presumably banqueting staff) who didn’t look left or right in case someone asked them something…. Which I did try to do. Eventually got service to finish off our...
