Frank Brown Park

Indoor and outdoor facilities in this Florida park offer fun for kids, sports teams, individual athletes, groups and even the family dog.

Bring the family to Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach to use the many sports fields, aquatic facilities, meeting areas and outdoor green spaces. The park is close to the shore, making it great for a combination day of sunny beach and inland exercise.

The Panama City Beach Parks and Recreation Department cares for the park, providing excellent services for residents and visitors. Facilities and activities are spread across 169 acres (68 hectares). Nine baseball and softball fields are laid out in flower patterns with home plates concentrated at the centers. Watch games of the Emerald Coast Miracle League for kids with special needs.

Swim in the 164 foot (50 meter) outdoor pool, part of the park’s Aquatic Center. Let kids stay cool and have fun at the Kids Splash Park or try to catch fish in the freshwater pond.

The site has soccer fields, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, pickleball courts, batting cages, shuffleboard court, playgrounds, multiple green spaces and miles of trails.

Use the pavilions and picnic areas for family gatherings. Buy snacks and drinks from multiple concession stands. Bring the family dog to play in the three dog park enclosures.

The park’s facilities, including the Aquatic Center, are open year round. Check the Parks and Recreation website for a complete list of activities and workshops offered to the public ranging from pickleball lessons and baseball skills camps to moms’ sweat classes. Swimming and some activities incur fees but park entry is free. Plenty of free parking is available.

Frank Brown Park is located at the northwestern part of Panama City Beach, close to many other attractions. This part of the beach has lifeguards and is great for swimming, sunbathing, playing volleyball, looking for shells and frolicking with your dog.

Use the area as the base for your vacation and visit the Panama City Pier Park for popular shopping, dining or an air-conditioned movie. Fish or watch the sunset at the Russell-Fields City Pier, which is open 24 hours a day. Attend Oktoberfest or the Summer Concert Series at Aaron Bessant Park just south of Frank Brown Park.
