This wonderful, quiet little cabin is tucked in behind your hosts' home. Although there are other homes around the cabin you will enjoy the feel of being in the country. The trees surrounding the house are plentiful and the outdoor picnic area is perfect for enjoying nature.

Inside is a large open living room and kitchen offering hill country decor. The living room has a comfy leather sofa (also a sleeper bed) and over sized chair- both are placed to enjoy the cable television. A fully equipped kitchen is large and perfect for those quiet evenings when you just want to stay in! The kitchen has a large refrigerator, range/oven and microwave. There is also a wonderful wood table that seats four.

A queen sleigh bed is in the bedroom topped with a coverlet and decorative pillows. Two wicker chairs and a table are found in the bedroom for that quiet reading time. The bath has a shower. Behind the bathroom is a washer and dryer, which is available for guests use.

A wonderful highlight of this home is the screened porch just outside the living room. Enjoy nature in all seasons at the table for four. It is inviting and waiting for your arrival.

Nice place to stay

Nice place to stay. We visited on Easter weekend. The place is surrounded by wildlife and deer running around. The home was nice and cozy, just what we were looking for. Good Location to the area attractions.

Great Place to Stay!

A very roomy, nice, comfortable place with all you need to have an enjoyable stay. The owners are close by, but we have never actually seen or heard them in the 4 or 5 times we've stayed there. It's a very relaxing time.

Nice Hideaway

A secluded guest house that was very clean and spacious. The screened in back porch was a plus. Deer in the yard. Very quiet and serene. The owner was super nice. Well stocked. We will definitely stay here again.

So quiet and peaceful

Nothing fancy, but clean and had all the amenities needed. Calm & peaceful with birds singing in the trees, deer playing in the neighborhood. No traffic noise, dogs barking or noisy neighbors. Just quiet & peace. Loved our stay! Highly recommend!

very nice clean place. owners responded quickly to my requests. We will b back again. I like the fact that we get 1 night free for every 2 nights we pay for. That makes each night less than $90 a night, better than some hotels in the area. It is VERY secluded.

Birthday getaway

Property was very nice. Everything we needed for cooking. Only thing I didn’t care for were the skylights in the bedroom. I have a tendency to wake up as soon as there’s any light so it was impossible for me to sleep in. But ended our stay very much and will likely be back.

We are Repeat Guests!

This is the second time in 4 months we've booked Dubl-C. We greatly enjoy the immense attention to detail the owners have provided. Snacks, chocolate, bottled water, sodas, lavish and luxurious linens and pillows, all natural shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soaps, heater lamp and citronilla candle on porch. They spared no expense on ensuring the guests had everything they needed, as if we were part of their family. This is a little piece of heaven in the hills of Texas.

The house was perfectly clean and well organized.

This is an excellent house for a couple or small family. We enjoyed the games and dvd collection. We loved how everything was labeled in the kitchen, so we didn't have to search for anything. The washer and dryer were all nice to have. Each morning, we watched deer from the window... so beautiful! We drove into Fredericksburg each day and enjoyed the drive.

We always enjoy our stay at DUBL-C. It is always so clean and the place is so nice and quite. It is truly a wonderful get away. That's why we go there so often. A little piece of Heaven here on earth. Curtis and Carolyn are lovely people. They truly make sure we have what we need from food, drinks, bedding, movies, you name it they are sure to make your stay a memorable one. Everything about DUBL-C is AMAZING. We'll be going back in another 2 months.

Please relay to Curtis Christopher that we had some difficulty getting the toilet tank to fill after every use. It seemed that if we opened and closed the faucet that controls the water flow, it would start filling the tank. My husband thinks that the little washer may have come off in the faucet, sometimes blocking the water flow. Other than that, we had an enjoyable stay.

Saturday Night Stay

We stayed one night at the DUBL-C Guesthouse, as we were meeting friends for an evening at Crider's Dance Hall. The Guesthouse was pleasantly larger than anticipated, and very comfortable and welcoming. The wine, snacks, gourmet coffee, and candy in the fridge were a nice touch. Loved sitting on the screened porch in the morning and listening to the rain while drinking coffee. The only reason I didn't give a rating of 5 was because the cold water handle in the shower wouldn't turn off, and we had to fix it ourselves after the hosts told us what we needed to do. The hosts were aware this was a problem and hadn't had it fixed. We would definitely stay here again, though, especially after seeing a note inside that said if you stay two nights, you get one free!
