"What we liked: - cleanliness - the bathroom - perfect location in the fort What we didn't like: - there was no laundry service (it states there is) - we had a bad experience of service at the cake shop which is linked to the hotel. "After 11 days travelling through beautiful Sri Lanka, Galle was our last stop. We treated ourselves to Fortaleza Landesi (FL) based on Expedia reviews. Architecturally designed in the Dutch colonial style using mainly recycled materials, a boutique hotel with only 3 oversize bedrooms with high ceilings and the most comfortable bed ever. Check in and breakfast is around the corner at Fortaleza Restaurant therefore FL was a little hard to find as the doors to FL are kept closed fir security. Well...

"I loved this hotel so much. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and historic. The pool was amazing and the grounds were great. Above all of it was that the staff was so incredible. They were helpful and kind. I was traveling alone and the restaurant manager was completely helpful to me, giving me tips and also prepared a special seafood meal for me that was one of the best i have ever had. I will definitely come back here next time im in Sri Lanka! "
