"This is a generally excellent hotel. No more on that need be said. You won't be disappointed. Except that the breakfast tea is terrible. There is just one thing that we noticed on our last day. Breakfast is from 7am, our taxi was a 0730, a fairly typical departure time with either a flight or busy day scheduled. So, any hotel guest who is there right on 7am is likely to be on a short timescale. The hotel should recognise this, and the staff should be aware. It felt like nobody was really...

"I loved this hotel so much. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and historic. The pool was amazing and the grounds were great. Above all of it was that the staff was so incredible. They were helpful and kind. I was traveling alone and the restaurant manager was completely helpful to me, giving me tips and also prepared a special seafood meal for me that was one of the best i have ever had. I will definitely come back here next time im in Sri Lanka! "

"We loved our stay at Arabella. Loved the simplicity and size of the rooms. Kept very clean and tidy by the staff. Cute offering of bananas for supper in the room with the turn down service. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Pool area was on the small size but we had no problem using it when we wanted to. Kitchen and kitchen staff were A . Food and service was amazing highly recommend the chimichurri prawns & the prawn or fish tacos! All breakfast options were great also! Tuk Tuks available...

"I can't imagine there being a better place in Galle. Peaceful. Quiet. Lovely owner. She was so nice to us, my wife was pregnant and even let us stay a bit longer whilst we waited for our taxi as she wasn't feeling well. What a lovely human being! We were welcomed with drinks and a hotel towel. Breakfast was amazing. Staff are really nice. Highly recommend."
