"A lovely 3 night stay on Bassenthwaite Lake. Lodge was well appointed and as described in the listing. Location is remote but only 10min drive to Keswick and exactly what we wanted. Recommend The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite for dinner and even managed a quick paddle board on (thankfully not in) an empty Lake, which was bliss. Will definitely consider staying here again."

"What a beautiful location and lovely little cottage. We were worried about the size of the bunk beds as we didn't realise they were not full size but my daughter and friend (5'11" and 5'9" found them very comfortable). The track up to the house was more of a problem. Glad our car has lots of clearance - a small car would not have managed those pot holes!"

"The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!"

"Cosy, well equipped cottage with a lovely view. Our elderly parents loved that they didn't have to go anywhere to enjoy the beach and they could get out for easy walks. "Stayed in the Annex which is the Old Railway Station at Keswick. The room was well decorated with heavy curtains,you could also control the temperature in the room,the bed was extremely comfortable. The bath was very large,and the water was lovely and hot,which was ideal after long walks during the day. We stayed room only,which was ideal for us on this occasion,Keswick is extremely busy all year round and during our stay there,you basically have to book everywhere."
