"Everything is amazing in the hotel it is very suitable for families there is good service and great food, everywhere you go in the hotel the staff are very understanding and kind. The only thing is that there could be more air conditioning as in the room it is quite hot. We had a great time we recommend it to anyone"

"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"The hotel is on the edge of the city center and only 2 blocks from the ocean. You would have to walk about 20 minutes for a small beach or drive 20 for a nicer beach. "It was a nice time at Pela mare hotel, the ambience is lovely and quiet for a family relaxation. What is unique about the Property is the aerial view, the wonderful Greek culture and amazing staff. My stay was okay until my check out time and was slammed with an unplanned bill which was based on not passing information correctly. Information should be decimated properly and detailed accordingly because language barrier is imminent. But overall it's not bad for a family stay. The management...

"We had a lovely stay at this beautiful villa. Our host could not be more accommodating. From a lovely cooked meal for our arrival as we were late to the package of local goodies and home made cake and also booking recommended restaurant, nothing was too much trouble. "I cannot impress upon people how idillic this villa is. It is set near a very small village with peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The villa itself has all the amenities one would require, and the inside is is fabulous condition. There was a maid service twice a week and she did a marvelous job keeping the 5 star villa clean and today. Highly recommend this place for anyone planning a holiday to Crete. "

"Very beautiful views atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The road up is a challenge, for sure. Probably unlike anything else you have driven, but very doable with a little patience. "The hotel itself is beautiful. From the outside to the inside, the commun area and the rooms; everything is clean with a simple and elegant vibe to it. The breakfast offered is vast and with a lot of variety, delicious as everything else in Crete. Location wise, it's central and you can walk to the port from there. There are many restaurants around the area that are pure gems. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The downsides were the unstable WiFi. We were told the bottles of water in the mini fridge were complimentary and would be replenish daily but they were not, maybe they just forgot. And the handle of the bathroom door kept falling off. All minor inconveniences that did not really affect us for the short time we stayed. Overall, recommended."
