We had a lovely stay at this B&B. Spacious and clean rooms, comfy bed and fantastic home cooked breakfast, with a marvellous host to boot. i would recommend this property to anyone.
Beautiful landscaped grounds and great hospitality
Elizabeth set the bar very high for our Irish B&B excursion through Ireland. She has made her home and grounds into a garden paradise and offers great advice. She helped us rearrange our travel plans to minimize backtracking and told us helpful things like which direction to travel the Ring of Kerry so we'd be on the inside lane. Our breakfast was delicious and had fabulous options like fresh caught salmon.
LOVED our stay at this beautiful B&B. We got lost coming from Belfast and arrived quite late. Elizabeth greeted us so warmly and even offered to drive us to town to eat, since she knew I was very tired. The room was large, very homey, quite lovely! Elizabeth said she considered her guests as her children and treated us as such! Absolutely one of the kindest, warmest people we had ever met! She was incredibly friendly and helpful...even helped us map out the rest of our travels in Ireland and gave us very helpful suggestions as to what to do and quickest ways to get places...hadn't planned to tour Gap of Dunloe and loved it! Tip on taking the ferry in Kerry saved us 2 hours! Told us the best place to shop for local pottery and I nearly bought out the store! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! Although our least expensive hotel during our trip, it had the very best service and most beautiful place to stay! Thanks so much, Elizabeth...you're the best! : )
This was a great find. The Inn keeper went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. She knew we had
been driving for hours and we're frazzled, so she offered to drive us to the local restaurant and pick us up.
We exchanged lots of funny tales. We loved Elizabeth! Our best b&b this vacation.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Elizabeth and Jim (owners) were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful, serene country setting not too far from Kilkenny. We would gladly stay at Kilbrawn House again.
This is a great place to spend a day or two. Elizabeth is the most gracious host. We misread the checkin time on our booking sheet, probably due to one too many pints in Kilkenny.....and showed up at 1015 at night after being lost for hours ( our fault ) and Elizabeth was super about it. Clean and bright room and an excellent breakfast to start the day.
great place, absolutely wonderful people, nice big room great service, beautiful grounds all around, its a house in the middle of no=where, but that's part of its charm
very accommodating to our special needs in terms of diet, full of advice re where to go and how to get there, and where to shop, just great, highest rating possible
Elizabeth was absolutely the best! She was so friendly and gave helpful and personalized advice on sightseeing and attractions. The homey atmosphere of the accommodations made it all the more spectacular, right alongside the breakfast. Homemade orange marmalade. Lovely presentation. I would recommend this b&b to anyone staying near the area, it will definitely give you the taste of warm Irish hospitality, and some of their snappy wit.
This is a great, rural B&B about 15 minutes outside of Kilkenny. The owners are wonderful - informative, flexible, and kind. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The house and grounds are gorgeous and well-kept. There's not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but it's convenient for a stopover between Cork and Dublin, or when exploring around the Kilkenny area. There's a pub nearby with reliable food and cheap beer.
Beautiful B&B in the countryside. Elizabeth the host is AMAZING! Full of knowledge about what to see and do in Ireland. Great breakfast to get the day started. Would stay again and again!!
Friendly, helpful staff (Eliz). Beautiful grounds, lovely well maintained rooms, very clean and comfortable. She helped us find a place to eat, even gave us maps. Had a great sleep in the comfortable beds. We had a big delicious breakfast in the morning and she is a good cook, she has more than the standard Irish breakfast.
The owner (Elizabeth) was very warm, cordial, and knowledgeable with several good suggestions for our trip. She even went so far as to call our next location letting them know we would arrive late. The B&B was bright and inviting. If Elizabeth's pear tree is in bloom, you must taste them. It is such a good place that locals even stay there.
