"Staff is really friendly but very limited English. My room wasn't big but I have all the minimal stuff. The only problem it's to get there, it doesn't have a easy connection with the centre of Lyon and around the hotel there is not enough things to do and the Hotel doesn't have instalation for recreation. Also it's really hard to eat something around."

"Room was generally clean, very basic room, it was super worth the price that we paid! Hair dryer upon request at the concierge, and the concierge was very friendly and nice. Just make sure to figure your way there earlier as bus timings are irregular, but it is 40 mins from the city which is not bad at all!!! Highly recommend. "

"Upon arrival, we were told to open the large gates leading up to the driveway of the house. The gates were what I can only describe as something you would see at a 'haunted' house in really poor condition. Our first impressions were not great as the accommodation appeared very old and run down. As we approached the house, the ground were extremely unkempt: overgrown, unclean pool and the tennis court area had seen better days. As we opened the main door, we noticed the wallpaper in the hallway...

"We loved our stay at Effect Lodge. Our room overlooked the back side of the property, including the pool. Great views and an open feel in our large room. The host was so gracious and helpful. She recommended public transportation for our visit to Old Lyon, and it worked out perfectly. She also provided direction in getting our laundry taken care of. In many ways, staying at Effect felt like being at home. Highly recommend this property!"

"Old, damaged furniture and half-functioning old appliances. Unmaintained garden and a mishmash of old garden furniture. It may still be appreciated from an ecological perspective, but then it must also be sold as such at a suitable price. The hostess is capricious in her hospitality and several times gives us the feeling that our presence ruins her French idyll. She makes unreasonable threats when confronted with criticism. "It was our first time OKKO, the staff were very warm and welcoming on arrival. The club area was really nice to have free coffee/tea/juice and a light snack whenever we wanted to. We also enjoyed a couple of wines at a very reasonable price. Our room was spacious and very comfortable."

"This hotel was in a great location and we particularly liked how helpful the front desk staff were. Always available to answer a question, or offer a dining recommendation. The lobby/bar was a great area to sit after a day of sightseeing and we took advantage of the breakfast 2 of our 3 mornings. Lots of choices. We would definitely stay here again. "

Comfortable and convenient

"We stayed at this hotel because it was nicely situated near the train station and we were very pleased with the whole experience. The hotel was very comfortable and wheelchair accessible which was a huge benefit. Overall the city is better for wheelchair mobility than Paris barring the odd construction works here and there. "
